The dry season, from May to September, offers the most consistent conditions for golf in Bogor. Rainfall is considerably reduced, skies are clearer, and temperatures sit comfortably between 22 and 28 degrees Celsius, making for a very pleasant round.
Because of its highland elevation, Bogor is notably cooler than Jakarta year-round, which means it remains playable even during the wet season from November to March. During that period courses typically experience afternoon showers rather than all-day rain, and many clubs offer discounted green fees, making it a good-value option for flexible travellers.

Bogor’s courses are predominantly highland parkland designs built on naturally undulating to hilly terrain, with volcanic soil that drains exceptionally well after heavy rain. Water hazards are common, but rather than the flat artificial lakes typical of Jakarta’s estate courses, Bogor’s water features tend to follow natural contours, rivers and ravines. Transfers & Access: Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta is the primary international gateway, with direct flights from Australia. From the airport, Bogor is approximately 60 to 90 minutes by car under normal traffic conditions via the Jagorawi Toll Road. Jakarta’s traffic can be heavy, particularly during peak hours, so transfers should be planned accordingly. Most golf courses in the Bogor region are a further 20 to 60 minutes from Bogor city centre depending on their specific location.
